Another gem from the Sentinel, this time Parking Eye are in the frame jointly and severally with Morrisons at their Stone store.....

There is even a reference to a previous article where a pensioner was given a charge for leaving 3 hours before they arrived which was later cancelled,

so the Sentinel at least seem to be aware of some of the issues with these ppcs. The victim was disappointed as they wanted to make parking Eye look stupid in court :T:T

So do Parking Eye actually do court?

Parking eye are a complete joke. Their technology is unreliable and often cannot detect exit and re-entry. This is why Parking Eye cannot do court if all they have to offer is unreliable evidence from their pathetic ANPR system. There are so many instances of people being 'fined' by Parking Eye when they came back into the car park a few hours later or even the next day.

    ParkingEye
was established in 2002, bringing technology-centred car park management solutions to an antiquated industry

I would like to nominate them for a Looplotty Memorial Award for goobledegook.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

And, of course, the CCTV/ANPR only shows the car and not the driver. So unless they can prove the identity of the driver, they are stuffed.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

So it's I spy with my Beady greedy electronic eye, something beginning with V (victim to be issued with an unenforceable invoice) at least it costs these chancers £2.50 to pay another inept bunch, DVLA, to obtain the RK details, which as it may not be the actual driver on the day, are of limited use to them unless they tried a Norwich Pharmacal Order at enormous expense to themselves to force RK to name the driver :rotfl:

Seems like the business model is seriously borked (broken)
