More OS than i thought

Options
Since i moved in wi my bf, we have cooked everything from scratch, and plan meals for the week buy the stuff and thats it, takes the annoying getting in from work with lots of food but not what u need to make anything syndrome away. When I saw this part of the forum i thought oooo I bet thats hard, but was shocked to see i am already doing some of the tips :D

Bought some stardrops and just checked out the flylady site sooo i will soon cleaning a bit more OS too. BF sorts the budget out and all receipts are stored on PC with a breakdown of what was spent on what..... etc not OS as such but hey u cant ignore technology!

What else is there left to do???

Tips greatly appreciated :D

Much Love
Sarah

Hiya and welcome to OS....it's amazing how much stuff there is on here to cover, but well done on being OS friendly already.

Do you recycle? Grow your own veg/herbs etc. Are you making sure your leftovers get used wisely. Filling the oven each time it's on?

If you have a read of the daily thread each day you'll get an idea of what others are up to, I know it inspires me to do things I'd never though about before.

Have a look at the store cupboard challenges that happen every month too - see how many meals you can make from the stuff already in the house.

Sounds like you're both well and truely on the OS wagon already!

Yes to recyling and have compost bin too. veg and herbs, we try (livin in rented accom so can only really grow what we can in Tubs onthe patio as garden is all grass :( but have had carrots spinach chillies mint corriander chives parsley etc :)

Leftovers are tomorrows lunches or made into the next meal eg left over chicken = chicken curry tomorrow :P

Filling the oven.... kinda, my pyrex dish which is used for almost everything is huge cant fit much else in, except plates for warming.

Make double usually so we have lunch sorted for the next day. Plus most recipes i have are for 4 :P

Make soup and freeze quite often using water left from steaming veg to make the stock with (add boullion powder too).
