With the fun & games of the sales this should show these companies for what they are. I would love to spend less than 3 hours at a shopping centre.
If you do get one, it would be really worth taking up with the retailers - all of them.
It is the retailers that can put these people out of business.

It is unlikely to be the retailers who have any say about the ppc, but the management company that runs the site, in a manner similar to the way private housing complexes have a management company who allow cowboy clampers and ppcs to police residents parking, with the woeful results posted here on CAG, and pepipoo.0 -
Yes it is often about backhanders and commission payments for tickets and nothing to do with managing an essential facility. Retailers need to wise up about this nasty little business and tell landlords and their agents that this activity is unwelcome.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Well I think complaining to the retailers is the way to go. In the cases of the big Supermarkets it is definitely down to the Store Manager as to whether a PPC operates.
On another thread I have just suggested we maybe devise a template complaint letter to direct newbies to use and send to retailers in 2011 when they get a fake PCN in a retail car park. I really believe that pressure on the big retailers (including B&Q, McDonalds etc., not just Supermarkets) is the way forward.
One person ignoring a fake PCN every few weeks doesn't hit them hard enough - but the retailers getting fed up of complaints and kicking out the PPC - now that's a different matter.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You should approach the authorities if you know of this. Obviously you have a responsibility to provide names to the retailer's association f a fraud is being committed that affects their trade. Good to see someone has proof and not just making it up.A stitch in time means you can't afford a new one.0 -
We regulars all know of the Maplins site at Leeds and ukpcsospcuk bunkum ?...hello Steve ! well in all the shops on that particular site ( 3 I think ) there are large signs inside and at the entrances to the stores saying "Tickets are nothing to do with us, If you get one take it up with the issuer" ... or something like that. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Retailers need to wise up. There is an alternative to using car parks and it is online shopping. PPCs are driving customers away. Retailers can put pressure on landlords provided that they both take their heads out of the sand.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0
