Tariff Switch Buffer
Options
Hi,
I'm looking to switch from my BG dual fuel web saver 5 tariff. This tariff has a cancelation date which once expired leaves you free to choose another tariff without incurring a fee for cancelation. The good thing about this is that the cancelation of tariff date is months before the end of tariff date which left a nice buffer to choose an alternative tariff, meaning you can switch to another tariff without getting trapped in a standard price tariff while the switch is in progress.
I have now noticed with the tariffs I am looking at that the cancelation fee date and the end of tariff date are now on the same day! In other words they have got rid of the buffer. So if I take one of these tariffs I'm stuck till the tariff ends before the cancelation fee does not apply, which ultimately means I'm going to go to a standard price tariff for upto two months before I'm swtiched to another company!
Why I am explaing this is because I want to know if this is the case ? Or am I missing something ?
Thanks.
