computer making loud noises

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could kindly offer me some advice. For over 6 months my computer tower has started to make really loud whirring noises constantly. I have no idea how to fix it so if anyone could offer me some advice I would be really grateful.

Erm. A bit more info maybe? What kind of computer are we talking about? Is it a laptop or a desktop?
A loud whirring noise could be the fan, the hard drive or the cd drive. It's probably just the fan and you probably need to clear dust out of the holes where the air comes out.0 -
On a dry sunny day I'd suggest taking the tower out to the garden (as this will be messy), putting it down, taking the side off, then spraying the insides with compressed air. Something like this:
