My sister has a severely disabled 18 year old, for whom she gets higher rate DLA. Yesterday someone who hadn't seen him for a while said his condition appeared to have improved. He's so severely mentally disabled that he needs to be physically restrained outdoors, and even then he bites himself and his carer. Often he bites so hard and suddenly that the carer lets go of him and he runs into the road. Even in a car he will frequently attack the driver.

He's in nappies and will never speak. God love him.
