Roof sheathing - why isnt it done in the UK?

    USA and Canadian roofs need replacing every 10-25 years. UK roofs can last 100+ years with minor maintenance.

    I know which I prefer!

    Our relatives in British Columbia hate their roofing system! Typical roofs have bitumen felt shingles or cedar wood 'tiles'. Only expensive big houses have proper long-lasting roof systems.

    Not as good as the ones in Europe nice deep foundations, none of this 500mm stuff, double glazing 100 years ago no sash windows and nice thick walls ;o))))
