Opening Firefox after installing the latest version of Java, I saw in the Add-on's window which opened, that I have umpteen versions of Java Console. I was wondering, is it ok to disable or uninstall all but the latest version?

You should uninstall all but the latest version as it is a security risk to have outdated versions0

Thanks.
I do recall that you had to manually remove older versions of Java from 'Add/Remove Progs', but I wasn't aware of this Firefox add-on until now.0 -
I have only been able to disable them in Firefox
Should I remove older versions of Java?
We highly recommend users remove all older versions of Java from your system.
Keeping old and unsupported versions of Java on your system presents a serious security risk.
Removing older versions of Java from your system ensures that Java applications will run with the most up-to-date security and performance improvements on your system.
