Does anybody have any idea what the Meter Timeswitch Code part of the MPAN number refers to?

Profile class is 01 (domestic unrestricted) amd the MTC is 801.

Meter Time Switch Code (MTC)

The Meter Time Switch Code indicates how many registers (set of meter reads or dials) your electricity meter has and what times they will operate during the day. The Meter Time Switch Code will show if your meter has two registers, one which records day consumption, the other night.

How does 801 relate to the set of meter reads or dials and what times the operate?

Presumably this is an economy 7 meter / normal meter identifier.

801 could just be a code number with no direct meaning. If not 801 could be region 8 and number of dials 1. But I suspect the latter.

I think that the MTC number can not be broken down as you suggest, but is just a reference number which the industry uses. I suspect that this is then looked up in some sort of industry database rather than being able to tell the meter type just by looking at the number.
