Hiya
I am a CIMA Student at the moment and also work, does anyone know if there is any money avalible to me for fees or living expenses. I found out today that i am entitled to a NUS card which i never knew before. I'm just not sure if you can get any kind of benefits from being a student doing a part time course.
Many thanks for any help

I would say that its extremely unlikely as CIMA is a professional accountancy qualification which is normally completed alongside full time work. I.e. your wages pay your living expenses, expecting anything else is just plain cheeky!

Maybe someone knows otherwise but I know of no-one who gets any funding (your employer normally pays for all the fees & expenses).
If they don't then you could fill out a self-assessment tax form to reclaim back some tax as the fees/expenses are non taxable0 -
Thanks for your reply but I don't think its that cheeky to think that there "might" be help out there as i have read other threads on the Open University with people working and doing a course and there seems to be help for them so i just thought there might be the same sought of help for a CIMA course, thanks for the advice on the tax0

Could you please tell me how to apply for an NUS card ?
Thanks for your help !0 -

you can apply for it online and they send the card to your college for collection. you just need to be able to upload a photo onto the website.
OP: if you're studying CIMA at a local FE/HE college then you won't be entitled to any benefits or additional financial help.0
