Extending existing dormer

Can anyone help me with a rough idea of the cost of extending an existing dormer to the edge of the roof? It will extend the existing under eaves storage area into a room about 8ft x 8ft.
Planning is OK, others in the area have done it and planning dept said there won't be a problem - just need an idea of price.

I don't think it's easy for anybody to give you a price. Without actually seeing plans/structure, nobody could have any idea of what might be involved. Building costs can vary greatly depending on which part of the country you are situated & scafffolding for instance could add anywhere from £1k-£3k depending again on which part of country & how much is actually needed.

Best to call in some local trades people to give you estimates, it's the only way to find out how much it's likely to cost.

You are looking at £1k alone in b/regs and possible structural engineers fees, and between £3k and £10k depending on the design and extent of the work.

But your description is too vague and has too many possibilities to enable a realistic guess
