How to use 0% for purchases under £250/over £250 offer with different end dates?

So my MBNA card has a O% interest on purchases offer on purchases made before 28th February.
For purchases under #3250 the 0% lasts until April, over £250 it lasts until June.
So is it the case that the only way to access completely interest free balances until June I would have to only use the card for purchases over £250 as they would start charging interest after April on the purchases under £250?
I don't suppose i could pay of the under £250 purchases in April and keep the over £250 purchases on until June? would they be able to separate the purchases out for this purpose?
I have asked MBNA for details on how they would charge in this situation but they have not replied very clearly.
Is this just a ploy by them to dupe customers into interest charges without realising it.

Not buying anything particularly - don't need to, I'm so wealthy I have most of what I need, just making good use of my piles of cash that I have sitting in my bank accounts!!!
As Degenerate says you clearly don't understand the question. But rather than go away i suggest you read a few threads around here and see what you can learn!0 -
Just as i thought - just didn'.t want to miss out if there was a way around it. Thanks0 -
I don't need to learn anything as all I was caring about was someone falling in to another dept trap but thanks for the link anyway.pauljoecoe wrote: »Not buying anything particularly - don't need to, I'm so wealthy I have most of what I need, just making good use of my piles of cash that I have sitting in my bank accounts!!!

The guy was asking a specific, detailed question about the terms of particular offers and how they interact. That's not a sign of someone "falling into a debt trap", it's the sign of a canny person trying to make the most of what's on offer to them.
You're posting in a credit card forum. People are here to share information on making the best use of credit cards. Are you going to post in every thread telling people to just say no?0 -

Then you need to rephrase your 'help' so it comes over as that and not as a finger waving telling off. and a very condescending one too. i doubt people who are happy to run up depts would spend much time posting questions on a forum such as this.
My aim is to fleece the credit card companies for as much 'free' money as I can - hence my question. I cant remember the last time I paid interest to a credit card company and I have 'borrowed' an average of £15000 for the last 5 years. It sits in my offset mortgage account saving me much in interest payments.0 -
I'm currently using one of these over/under £250 promotions at the moment, mine ends Feb/May 2011, from MBNA.
I can confirm that my payments are being allocated against the February ending promotion.
I have made the most of the longer over £250 spend by making my weekly shop over £250 by buying giftcards which can be used for future weeks shopping/petrol.
