Thank you for that information but I do have to agree things have changed a lot since then. You are correct in saying there no such things a perm job these days.

I have only been in my current house 5 years but I take the point that the recession has changed things quite a bit.

you can get an initial appointment usually for free, a broker will then either charge you or will get commission from the mortgage company, its money well spent usually as they have access to a lot of best deals and inside knowledge of who is more likely to accept you.Aug 24 - Mortgage Balance £242,040.19
