Help!

Bought an 'OXO' soft grip can opener, can't get it to work, tried everything- how many ways are there of using a can opener? My daughter tried it too , but it won't work.#
Anyone else got one of these, if so, How do you use it? No instructions on the package and cost me £6!

The Good Grips Snap-Lock Can Opener is as functional as it is sculptural. Squeeze the Can Opener closed and hear the lock snap shut to hold the can securely while you turn the knob. There’s no need to grip tightly to keep the Can Opener in place on the rim. Press the lock open with your thumb and it springs open to release the can. The curved handles of reinforced plastic are broad and rounded to distribute the pressure evenly across your hand as you squeeze. The oversized knob makes turning comfortable and easy.

it would go either vertical or horizontal to the can, i use a can opener has the teeth would go under the rim of the can and the sharp wheel goes on the inside rim of the can to open it

Thanks, just tried it again and it worked, perhaps it was because I 1st tried it on a square can of corned beef that had no 'key' attached?:D
