I wasn't sure which part of the forum to post this on but went on Halifax on-line banking today (used it for years) and when i signed out it came up with " certificate error: navigation blocked", so i went back to Halifax's home page tried to sign in again but it comes up with the same page as before and says " The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid. "
Is anyone else having the same issue? could anyone please try and sign in to theres to see if its not just me. I'm on Internet Explorer, if that makes any difference.

Reboot your pc. Clear out your cookies and don't log in via favourites. 0845 602 0000 if you still have a problem.0

Just logged in and out of mine, no problems. Try clearing your cache as above.0

Well i've deleted everything, gone direct to Halifax's website instead of via favourites and still pops up with a warning?! but i just tried the laptop and that gets me to the site and no warnings, i didnt sign in but i can get on the page, i dont really understand what it could be?
what department does that number take me to, opinions4u?0 -
This error often comes up if the time or date of your computer is wrong. Check that out first.
Do you get the errors when you visit any other secure (https://) pages?
Thanks corbyboy that has resolved my issue, i was looking at dates earlier and i must have changed the computers date by mistake, phew!
But now i'm on the topic, i do get a different certificate issue on the Post office site, ive always had this issue since i moved onto Explorer but hasnt been a concern because i dont used my PO CC. Its not an issue when i browse the site but if i go to the credit card section and try to sign into my account, it comes up with the said page, but with a slightly different message "The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority"
Any ideas what this cause could be? if it is the authority thats not trusted then would everyone be having the same issue or is something wrong with my PC's setting.0 -

What version of Internet Explorer do you use? The SSL certificate for pofssavecredit.co.uk (the website you are logging into) is issued by QuoVadis. It's possible that your version of IE doesn't recognise this issuer.
It's not a serious error though.0 -
Well i'm on IE8 on the PC but with access to a laptop that still has IE7 on, i can get access to the PO CC site through the laptop?0
-
Dunno whats causing your issue, but switch to Firefox, its much safer than IE.0

I am not following what you mean here. Are you asking a question?0
