Honestly - I don't believe it.

I have a 15m HDMI cable, and the picture quality is fine, cannot see anything wrong with it. And the HDMI is Asda value!

my1m HDMI cables came from Poundland, they work exceedingly well.

I'l let you guess how much they cost

The 15m one I have at work, works well too.

Unfortunatly they are not gold plated, pity - they might look prettier lol

they have about 15/16 chnanels in HD but doesnt include the sports and film packs

i admit not as many as sky but its perfectly fine for me since i dont have a hd tv yet

Seemed reasonable. Image problems are due to data errors caused by voltage drop over the length of the cable so for example if it works on 5V being a 1 and 0V being a 0, then if the voltage at the other end for a 1 is around 3.5-4V, the TV may have trouble figuring out what it is, especially at the Gigabit speeds of HDMI.

10 metres is 33ft. Quite why anyone would need a HDMI cable longer than that for domestic use is beyond me. The AV gear feeding the telly would be so far away that either the remotes wouldn't work or you'd be so far from the TV that unless you had a 100"+, you'd not be able to tell the difference between 1080p and 720p.
