  • I love this thread! First time I have seen it and it's great.

It makes me feel so much more normal as people normally looked very preplexed when I talk about the 'menu for the week' - it's great to see I am not alone in planning to be frugal!

Must get stuck into this week's plans, as today has been the 'big shop' for the month and the 'batch cooking day' after doing a little freezer and cupboard audit. so I am ready to sit down and plan!

Thanks to whomever set this up! It's very exciting to see everyone else's ideas.

Last week went to pot (I never even posted).... all my meals got budged over, so today I am ready to get back on track!)

Tonight we are still eating leftover Chicken.

Today I have to make stock from our Christmas Chicken Carcass!! Will freeze it for another day!

Saturday 1st - Pasta, Broccoli and Cauliflower Cheese Bake
Sunday 2nd - Spicy Sausage Pasta
Monday 3rd - Leftover Sausage Pasta
Tuesday 4th - Smoked Mackerel and Fried Potatoes
Wednesday 5th - Leftover Christmas Chicken turned into Nutty Chicken Curry
Thursday 6th - Leftover Nutty Chicken Curry
Friday 7th - Taco's (My son is buying and making these for the Family)

Went food shopping 2 weeks ago and spend so much at Tesco that they took a Sainsbury's £5 off a £50 shop... I was a £5 short, so I ended up grabbing 2 bags of Broccoli and 2 bags of Cauliflower/Broccoli and a bag of sweetcorn! All free in my eyes! Only now we have to eat them... hence the Pasta bake!
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
