Hello all (and Merry Christmas)
My wife and I are about to complete on a flat at the beginning of January. I wanted to draw out some accurate floor plans (measurements done) over the extended weekend so we can go furniture shopping.
The first few websites google comes up with are not very good.
Does anyone have any personal recommendations?

Autocad.
Second to none. Other than that, Micro$oft Visio can kind of do it.
TBH, for the price, you are best just using graphing paper and a pencil.0 -
I used a free trial of Smartdraw, planned all the rooms and placed furniture on the plans. Time limited download.0

http://www.myvirtualhome.com.au/ is a bit more user friendly than things like SketchUp, but the reality is that it's just generally hard to do. No idea why - you would think someone would have found a way to make it nice and easy!0

I've used http://www.floorplanner.com/ for similar purposes. Not great but its free and and ok for basics.0

I'd get the keys first... You will see things differently in real life to on paper0
