Power Supply Question

My daughter bought us a Kodakpulse Digital Frame for Xmas and unfortunately the 3 pin UK adapter that slots into the power adapter is faulty. I have contacted Kodak via email but expect it could be ages before I get a reply due to the Xmas/Jan Sales deluge they will get.
Can anyone advice where I could buy a replacement adapter or equivalent. I guess the 5V bit is easy but how do you measure the diameter of the jack plug accurately.
Standard power supply is:
Manufacturer, Model #: Malata MPA-520, EIAJ class 2 DC plug Input: 100-240V AC 50/60 Hz. Output: 5V DC 2.0 Amp
Many thanks
Tony

They sell those things at my local market - £2.99. Maybe try cheapie shops like poundstretcher ,B&M etc.
Even this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/5V-DC,-2A--Mains-Adaptor-%2f-Power-Supply-Phillips-AY3192_W0QQitemZ160502489350QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=189992623333&rvr_id=189992623333&cguid=22f6484b12d0a0aa14e3df13ffef36a8
There are even cheaper but from HK.
2A seems a lot ?0 -
It is important to get the polarity right. There should be a symbol on the transformer like one of these:

Make sure that the polarity is set to match that required by your camera if you use a universal supply. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

Are they not standardised ? I don't know but would have assumed so.0

No and one should never make assumptions with electrics. The tip is generally +ve, but not always. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

From the specs above a 1.5A, 5V DC supply would do the trick. Ask in Maplins or similar or look/search for 5V DC, 1.5A supply with multi connectors. Power info from below:

Sorry, that sounded a bit arsey, didn't it? Not intended ...There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

It was bought via Amazon. The frame itself is working fine using the continental plug and an adapter and showing loads of piccies of our grandaughter in Oz so I don't want the hassle of sending the whole thing back.
I could live it as it is but the adapter etc sticks out about 4 inches so would like to replace it.
Thanks for all the replies I am off to Maplins now I realise I don't have to stick with any OEM power supply it should be easy to replace.0 -
To me it looked like sound advice. If I'd been giving it I doubt I'd have phrased it much differently. Most halfway decent kit is protected against reverse polarity but a lot isn't so getting it wrong can naff up either the kit or the adapter or both.Sorry, that sounded a bit arsey, didn't it? Not intended ...0
