My OH is having major problems with his laptop and needs help please.
He is unable to connect to the internet and has major problems with the registry so he is trying to do a destructive restore after backing up useful files to an external hard drive.
He enters the restore programme, however, the computer will not accept any of his passwords so he is not able to complete the task. It keeps coming up restore programme is locked and consult your administrator (he says that he is the adminsitrator, and the only person who has put in any passwords, and he has been the only owner of the laptop)
He has an Acer Aspire 5720 and would appreciate any help or advice.
Thank you

still suspect that the internet connection problems and "registry corruption" warnings are linked to Malware and could be removed ??Ex forum ambassador
