Dorastar, it's much more fun to drive through the safe route and watch all the OTHER people getting their wing mirrors/trims/wipers ripped off0

Keiss 21 - do hope you are feeling a bit better this morning after you ordeal in the dentist's chair.
Not planning much stitching today, I want to get the front garden finished off. Also want to have a go with Flickr - I've had the invitation but not joined yet.
Have a great day everyone.

Which is why I'd suggested that route especially since a bit of trim was already loose - but men ALWAYS know best don't they?!! He is already down at the scrapyard sourcing a new one and has taken ds with him cos he will be in hogs heaven with all the cars. Am still going to milk it for as long as I feel necessary:pMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Thanks for all your kind words....feeling much better this morning. Still rinsing with saline solution after every time I eat for a few more days. At least I can brush my teeth again...felt furry first thing this morning. I suppose it was better that the tooth came out, but the problem is that I have no other teeth behind it apart from a single molar (wisdom?) at the very back...so I no have a HUGE gap there.
The dentist wants to wait six months  before she does anythng about "filling" the gap with some sort of plate (I think) or something else. She wants to see how things heal before we discuss that. Not sure how long the crown next to the incisor is going to hold out now being on the end of the gap.
That's enough talk of teeth...a lovely day today, so hope to get some more plants potted up and seeds sown. Don't think I am up to weeding/digging, so will try and rope my boys into doing some.
If I do feel a bit woozy again...I can always do some stitching!
Delivering the coaster today, hope he likes it!
Eric's Mum, I have emailed you.
Have a lovely day all.

Been away for a week, so have loads to catch up on in here. This might turn into a long reply...be warned!
I've been visiting my friends & family in Gloucester for the week. Mum asked me if there was anywhere I fancied going on our drive out on Saturday. I suggested the Nimble Thimble (over 120 miles from Gloucester!), expecting her to laugh at me, but she agreed! :j It was a lovely, sunny day & we had a fab time spotting loads of lambs in the fields. I think the Nimble Thimble is such a lovely shop. Chris is lovely & so helpful. She pointed out a few boxes of the reduced charts and mum & me looked through them all! I bought 2 small pillow kits, and 2 other charts. Will dig them out and find the names...
I got to meet my new godson-to-be. He's totally gorgeous! One of the pillows I bought is for a new baby boy, so I thought I'd give it to his mum to stitch while she's off work. Think she could do with some relaxing 'me' time. Her hubby is having chemo at the moment, but he was told the tumor has shrunk by 80%, so that's great news. Still not an easy time for them all, though.
Maria-How is your Grandad doing now?
Craftygranny-Reading about your mil & the diamond wedding sampler was so touching. You should write to the magazines & tell them about it. I'm sure they'll print your letter.
Louise-Highland living looks so good! I really like the way it's framed too.
And yet more finishes...Tinkerbell & Gorjuss. Well done!
Soulie-Love that Mothers Day card.
23rdspiral-Hope your ear infection is getting better. That sounds painful! Oooh, and Tellmeitsfriday too...Sending get well wishes to you both.
Shelly-Your sampler looks really good. Had to laugh when I read that your hubby wanted his name to go first on it. Who put in all the hours stitching it???
crickett1234-Welcome to the cafe!
***Oh my goodness, you lot have been chatty this last week. I'm still reading through...stopped for a quick lunch & now on page 127. Getting there...***
RE-The ironing discussion. I'm another one who doesn't iron. If things get hung up when wet, they don't need ironing. I have a couple of satin skirts/tops that need a quick press sometimes, but they're more dressy items anyway, so tend to come out for weddings only. I iron my stitching and that's pretty much it.
There's some wonderful pics being posted. A really big range of different styles we're all stitching on at the moment.
Dorastar-Sorry to hear about the car. As you're local to the safari park, you could probably pop back in a few days and pick up the car parts that got ripped off. I know Longleat go around every night & collect all the car parts that the monkeys rip off so people can come & collect them if they wish. Actually, just keep that to yourself and let your hubby suffer. I'm not the only one who calls their hubby a muppet, then?
Ooooh, I'm caught up at last. :T
Need to put some pics onto the PC. My camera shy brother actually let take a pic of him & the Banksy kit I stitched him for xmas. I'm planning on sending it to one of the mags. He wasn't keen on that, but I assured him it was a stitching mag & none of his mates would be reading it anyway.:D Oh, speaking of Banksy, the designer who I got that kit from is bringing out a book. Not sure what is it in exactly, but it'll be on Urban Cross Stitch soon.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Hi ladies.
No stitching done here today. As far as I am aware my Dad is still in surgery as I type this (we haven't had a call yet to say otherwise) I didn't think it wise to try and stitch this afternoon so done some mindless ironing instead.
Mum said this morning that he was going to go into surgery at around 2pmish so we should hear something in maybe 1-2 hours.
When I visited him yesterday an aunt was there too and she made us all laugh by saying to my Dad before she left...... 'give it a few weeks of Shelly looking after you and before you know it you will be cross stitching too Kenny' :rotfl:
It only seems like yesterday he was told he had to have this op, it's come round real quick.
On a kind of positive note the fright it gave me has done some good. I have lost nearly 1 & a half stones! :j
Sorry to waffle on but I know you ladies don't mind
I'll update when I hear anything. Though if it's not until tomorrow....don't panic! lol If I can get the tablet off of hubby for a few mins I'll update tonight but failing that I'll be on pc again tomorrow.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
