£365 in 365 days...... the 2011 challenge

ADD ME PLEASE!!! Will try this, have warned the family that any cash lying around will be in the pot (coins under 20p in value) - that includes all cash (of whatever value) found in pockets at laundry time, and all sofa fumblings.

PS. Had a large tube of Smarties for Christmas, the tube is tailor made for collecting £2 coins.

Will want to cash in for mid November though, for Christmas 2011.

So my aim will be £1 per day, plus "findings".

my first ever post although I have been a member for a few years

I did the £1 a day challange 2010 and am now £365 better off - what a simple but great idea

I also put into a little purse any money found and saved in the form of money off vouchers, nectar points money and 5p of litre vouchers plus any lottery wins (only small unfortunatly) but all these have added up to over £500 so will be doing this again

I started today as I found 2 x £1 coins + 2 x 50p when I was doing the washing - fell out of someone's pockets but didn't know who so they were put in my tin.

Any money found laying around automatically becomes mine! We also have a finders keepers tin where any money found outside the house is collected - last year we found about £30. Amazing the ammount of coppers the kids find around school where other kids throw them "cos they weigh my pockets down."
