We were suprised my son and I love lush but I think its too expensive - I was looking foward to the sale (we like the bath bombs best) was thinking I would be able to spend £20 or £50 and get some free products. we were the first in Bluewater Lush (boxing day)and no-one else seemed that bothered.
There were a few boxes nothing that great, but quite a few bath bombs, after a while I realised the offers were different in the shop compared to on line, so I only bought a few bath bombs, spent about £12 which is loads better than the usual £60 wasa sad I couldnt stock up, but thanks lush got the products I like best and also saved money.

I was dissapointed yesterday when I went to LUSH maidstone yesterday , Theyy had a little table in a dismal corner a few of the smaller crimbo boxes 9.95 ones 1 bottle of glogg and other smaller various sizes (nabbed the big bottle been meaning to bag that one) lots of snowcake,an orange coloured snow (reminded me of Karma) loads of Christmas Eves few of the body tints and lip tints quite a few perfumes but only the stick versions, when I poped back in about 2 hours later I was surprised to find they had brought out a legend box and some more of the other larger boxes ( didnt get a look in )and big bottles of Glogg . Got a few bits but was waiting all year for this sale and a little bit of a let down..Don't sweat the small stuff, Its all small stuff.0

I've popped into my local store twice now since the sale started and they had more stuff the second time I visited. I bought a Legends box and mentioned to the girl that it had not been there a couple of days ago. She said that they'd been checking the stock and found lots of pre Oct 2010 stuff that they didn't know they had so had put it in the sale.0 -

I think the problem is as well some shops are just more popular. On the Lush Forum one shop posted that they had a couple of the big £100 selection boxes left, a couple lush legends (I think?) and a Merry Xmas Darling still but I don't think many had the likes of those left in. When I went in on 30th December they had products in that they didn't on the 26th. I mustn't go again though, too poor0 -
It doesn't bother me, or that many I doubt seeing as the founders (Mark and Mo Constantine) have been awarded OBE's which is nice.

Maybe if u had a family member battle with Cancer it would bother u !
Well that's a bit harsh and unnecessary! Can't answer for Tinsley but I've had family members battle cancer and the fact that Lush doesn't openly support cancer charities doesn't put me off one bit. It's a fact of business that often companies select charities to support and then can only be seen to support those specific charities - Lush chooses smaller, lesser known issues to support which may/may not seem as important to some. I know that when I worked in Woolies we were not allowed to put out unsolicited flyers from local cancer charity shops as we were only allowed to show direct support for the children's charity that Woolies sponsored.
Regardless of that - this issue has been discussed at length. We'd gotten back on the topic of lovely bath products. I'm loving my Buche de Noel, its sorted my skin out amazingly in only a few days, wish they were making it permanent.0 -

This has been revived again has it?
I expect very few families in the country have been unaffected by cancer, but we don't all expect every company in the country to support cancer charities - and there aren't many companies in the UK which are as ethical and supportive of charities as Lush, when they aren't obliged to support any charity. I'm not going to boycott shops because they don't support my favourite charity, I wouldn't have many places to shop if that was the case.
And although every charitable organisation will always appreciate more money, cancer charities are not under-funded, in fact I think they may get more donations than any other kind of charity.
If you are interested in their credentials here are the links for their charity and ethical pages http://www.lush.co.uk/articles/get-in-touch/contact-us_115-10089_14.html
I will email Lush and ask them for their official stance on this as it keeps coming up again and I don't think anyone even knows if it is true.0 -
One of my cousins died of cancer last summer. It hasn't put me off buying from LUSH or made me question any other retailers I buy from re their stance about supporting cancer charities!
PS: I used snowcake for the 1st time last night and LOVE it!0 -

Yet I still shop at Lush and can understand why they don't support charities that are seen to have links with animal research.
That doesn't mean I am totally against animal research for medical reasons myself. In an ideal world we wouldn't need to use animals but for now it's all we've got.0 -
Hi All...is lush open tomorrow....especially romford....I refer to my byline below ...
Ad hominem
An attack upon an opponent in order to discredit their arguement or opinion. Ad hominems are used by immature and/or unintelligent people because they are unable to counter their opponent using logic and intelligence.0
