This kind of attitude is what gives us a bad name. Anyone is welcome here. It's no wonder the Lush guys have such a bad view of us.

Someone from here was told to pee off in her first post over there last night. Someone else (who's been a member of the Lush forum for less time than me) said I should question my "moral entitlement" to a hatbox (wasn't going to order anyway despite being entitled by virtue of being a forum member since forever).

    It's hardly one-sided unpleasantness.

The way I see it is that it ended up being a squabble between social tribes - the MSE people who like bargains and the Lush people who like their stuff and were concerned they wouldn't get any of it. What made me quite sad is that even after everyone got their stuff and the phone lines were closed, someone on the Lush forum was insisting that any leftovers not be made available to the presumably less cool Facebook Lush fans or anyone else. What I like about MSE is that people are willing to share their good fortune; it shocked me that some people on the other site were insistent that nobody even get a stray sniff of their leftovers and displayed a mean-spiritedness that I don't normally associate with Lush. Fortunately it's just the forum users and not the staff that put me off.

did poor Looby ever get anything in the end?
    nope not a thing.

I decided not to do a phone order because I didn't want to deprive the lush forumers of their hat box and was pretty fed up. Lush is an ethical company, but unfortunatly it would seem that more than a few people on the lush forums don't follow the lush co's ethics and tbh it put me off a bit.

Then I came back here and read a few post and decided not to cut my nose off to spite my face so tried to order online.....the website was down again.

So then I tried to phone up as I was told the phone lines were open until 10.....but they closed early as it's a bank holiday (fair enough, having worked in retail myself I know it sucks to have to work bank holidays when everyone else is off)

I'm sure that will please a lot of people on the lush forums.:p

so I've given up and will have to be economical with the lush stuff I got for Christmas and my karma stuff that I squirrel away through the year :o

How childish. I'm not on either side and I already said it's been hostile on both sides, and the whole thing is rather pathetic as is playground-style name calling.

Edit: Forget it, thanks for putting me off MSE.

That's the problem I have with certain Lush fans, you associate Lush with being ethical, friendly etc then you get complete idiots itching! Makes Lush fans look like nutcases tbh

aww please don't let a troll (and he is a troll ;) ) put you off MSE. I know I'm not the most popular person in the lush world right now but we really are a good lot over here.
