My one & only parking ticket..

A few years ago,I was based in Germany with the RAF,Being a young,free singly I bought a new car with my LOA,A Pug 309 GTI.
Loverly car,just right up my alley & far better than the POS I was driving.
Anyway,I had to drive to Peterborough to collect my new & drop off the POS,Which I did.Took a week's leave & my parents came over from NI to visit.
Anyway,I got back to Germany & a few weeks later got summoned to the Bosses office.I was informed I had to go to the 'Pay & Discipline Office' for something,boss didn't know what but I got the usual a** reaming for doing something....
So I went to SHQ & to knocked on the door.
"JT *******,you wanted to see me?"
"Ahh yes" said the shiney !!!!! in the office "It seems you have a parking ticket" & proceeded to give me the notice."Any problems,go thru the chain of command"
When I got back to the squadron,after a quick trip back to the block to get my spent ferry tickets,I went to see my boss.
Turns out,the garage I took my old car to in Peterborough had used my old car & it got ticketed one lunchtime.By then I had been back in BFG for a couple weeks...
So my boss fired off a letter to the council traffic office & nothing else was heard,however,my late father was a senior manager for the parent company who owned the garage in Peterborough as it was one of their network dealerships (Dad worked for one of the biggest car manufacturers at the time,I guess you can work out which one by the car I bought...:rotfl:) & he took it up with his boss who then took it up with the MD of the garage concerned...
