I try to go out to lunch once a week. It keeps me sane as the four other days, I just eat at my desk and don't have a proper break, if you see what I mean.

I spent £74 at Tesco today but was under budget for food as that included £20 worth of clothes for DS1 who has outgrown everything.
Am going to put a pumpkin with a tea light inside it outside the front door to attract trick or treaters (yes I did say attract them, but the kids love it when people in scary costumes turn up, half of them are probably in their class but we don't recognise them). The kids wanted us to go trick or treating with them tonight (they're not allowed to go on their own) but we meanly said no because we are worn out and that would just kill us. About £10 for me but was accounted for. Had to withdraw £400 from the building socity today to pay for the car service tomorrow. Ouch but the first time ever that I wil pay for it in cash and not whack on the credit card!
