Hi Moozie, I hope you have a nice lunch, I have booked a lunch with my best friend on 22 Nov, we used to do this weekly but now its about once a month.

Today I am hoping for a no spend day. I'm not working until the weekend so I have plenty of time to get stuck into my dissertation and to Not Spend!

    Hi Moozie,

Thought I'd post early as I had a phone call this morning and am going up to Yorkshire to talk about a job - not really an interview, as I know the company very well, but they know my circumstances and want to talk with me to see if there is any way that I can work with them.
Obviously fuel costs are going to blow my budget for this week - I've borrowed a small van, but will have to pay the diesel - about £40  myself. A friend is letting me stay at his place tonight, so other expenses down to a minimum. See you Thursday:beer:

  • Hi Moozie, I know what you mean re weather. I actually did go back to bed for a few hours once b/f had left this a.m. It was fab, all tucked under the duvet with the lecky blanket on ;)

I need a wee shop today for the essentials. I need milk, margarine, loo roll, toothpaste, dishwasher tabs, bleach etc.... Oh and I'm gonna buy some monkey nuts ;) We don't really get kids knocking on our door tonight so I don't think I need to stock up. Anyway i'm rambling, but hopefully less than a tenner for me :j

happy halloween everyone       :rolleyes2

Thanks for your encouragement Moozie - I need it :)

Unfortunately am going to have to re-do this weeks target as I realised yesterday it is BFs dads birthday on Saturday - actually just realised - this budget is only for Sun - Fri isn't it? So I'll buy the present on Saturday! Feel better now!

    Thanks

    Hi all,

Well flushed with success from yesterday's no spender I am aiming for another today. Have lunch with me and a work dinner tonight, just have to make sure I get the tube home and not succomb to a taxi.
Ooooh and I forgot my make up, just going to tell colleagues I am looking this way because it's halloween!
    Have a good day everyone!

  • Back at my evening class at college tonight so I'm going to try and have my tea at home before I go to save money but I think I'll have to have a hot choc at breaktime. £2 maximum spend hopefully.

99p for me today - on a pumpkin from M&S. Maybe they will be a little cheaper than yesterday too. May get some biscuits for OH to put in the biscuit jar he brought yesterday in Ikea ;) It's looking sad and empty.

  • I will hopefully have a no spend today. Infact I have actually made £3.50 as a refund from Play.com was confirmed on a mis price! :)
