Amazon and Open University

Very well done to Open University who sent thro an email at 1 o'clock this morning to state that we qualify for financial support for my DH's course.

And to Amazon, who not only have both set books in stock, but they qualify for free delivery and £8.51 off!

DH isn't even up yet so I had to tell someone!

Don't asume that just because Amazon are £8.51 off that they're the cheapest, almost all books can be bought online at substantial savings off the list price so it's worth checking other retailers websites just incase they're cheaper elsewhere.
  • What a lovely present. I bet he was over the moon. Good luck to him and Merry Christmas to you both.

I just registered for some OU courses on the closing date. I called up the next day and asked if I could apply for financial support and was told that the deadline had passed, I asked whether they'd withdrawn the retrospective support as I'd done that in the past and was told the OU still allowed 6 months for retrospective support applications. So on one hand he was saying I had 6 months to apply for support and at the same time saying it was too late to apply for the course I'd appled for yesterday.

It turned out he thought I was talking about a course I'd done a year and a half ago...

I searched to find the cheapest and Amazon was the cheapest I could find for new. (I didn't want second hand altho I do buy a lot of books secondhand hand.

Anyway, still very pleased. Books received today via Royal Mail.
