Logging onto PC then logging off

in Techie Stuff
I press ctr alt and delete to log on, and then log on to windows then it quickly logs off back to the log in screen. Any one know what is wrong, thanks

Its windows XP, i believe that the logoff has been put into startup through spyware but now i cant access the registry to change it0

Can you boot into safe mode, and edit the registry (or startup folder) from there?0
