Just in case you thought your xmas sucked

Ok, have just got back from the garage with the news that my car engine is kaput and will cost between £750 and £1100 to put right. Got home and found my washing machine outflow is blocked and has flooded our downstairs, and to top it all, despite being only 2 years old, the boiler has packed up so we've got no heating. Oh, and my wife who is BiPolar is having a depressive swing in her mood (I wonder why...).

Merry Christmas everyone!

Olias

All I can say to that is I wish you and your wife peace and tranquillity for Christmas and hope you manage to get the heating fixed at least...

You've had your 3 pieces of bad luck so it can only get better!

Try and have a lovely Christmas anyway - can family rally round and help?

  • My husband has just got home from work and he was able to visit his dad before he came home, he is in a nursing home about 80 miles away, we know he is near the end, but we are still willing him to live one more day, because that is what you do isn't it? We have been through this four times now with both my parents and his mum, and it never gets any easier, best thing that has happened in the last 24 hours is I got to B & Q, bought a new oven, and my poor hubby has just fitted it, so we are £200 down, (we had £60 in vouchers to use for something yippee)!
I wish you the very best for Christmas, I hope things get better for you, just off to the back garden to give the old oven a kick!!! There will be others even worse off, but that doesn't make it feel any better!

Why didn't you put your foot down and say if he doesn't go you don't go?

I really do hope things get better for all of you...and Rich, sorry about your poor dog. I hope he will make a full recovery. What kind of sicko poisons a dog, for God's sake?
