we`ve got an N reg Megane 1.9 diesel and though it runs really well just recently we`ve had trouble starting it.It always follows the same pattern.first turn it starts straight away but then dies shortly after.second turn won`t start third turn starts.coughs and splutters but then runs normally.It had new glo-plugs about 6 months ago so i don`t think its them,someone said clean the water out of the fuel filter but i don`t know where it is!!!.........any ideas please?

If you don't know what you are doing get a recommendation for a garage and take it there. Could be lots of things that you then replace which fail to cure it.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

try asking on the parkers forum where they have an owner's faults section and about 50 pages worth of posts on the old megane MK I (I used to have one myself). Don't know if the diesle has a TDC sensor but if it has may be worth replacing to see if it makes a difference.matched betting: £879.63
