PS3 Black Ops inviting friends

I bought the game when it first came out. Wasnt impressed with how buggy it was so left it till yesterday
I can play multiplayer no problem, but for the life of me I struggle inviting friends
When either of us try we end up getting kicked off with something like 'session ended'
Only way ive managed is by luck. Invite and ill search for a game lobby. So long as the timings right (A place in the lobby) my mate can join
SURELY theres an easier way than this
My NATS OPEN and when were playing it runs fine.
Anyone here find it easy? Any tips as to where I might be going wrong?

Its still broken mate. Its nearly there but not quite. I've also had joining maps with full amount of players and then only half of one side being visible - I was invisible and running around. I've also had "Waiting for players" when launching a map freeze the console as well.
My kids have the Xbox version - none of this rubbish. At one point, I felt like selling the PS3, I was so sick of the carry ons and the fact it always seems to end up with a halkf baked poor quality port of a game.0 -

come back to Modern Warfare 2 , where it all still works and plays like a dream . just like it did on release day .
I did it to find every other host was running a 10 prestige hack where you got 100,000 XP for every kill you got as well as every enemy being highlighted by a red square and then some scrote managed to wipe out all my weapons add ons, logos, completed challenges etc etc etc leaving me as if I'd just started but with a 5x prestige and rank of 52, in short wiping out 15 days playing time of gaining achievements and awards.
That was the final icing on the cake and I cracked open Battlefield Bad Company and decided to wait for BLOPS 1.05 patch and am currently feeling like flogging up my PS3 because at least on XBL, you can report people and they get blacklisted and their console bricked if proven.0 -

interesting this, as mini-Gun #1 will be PS3 BkOps-ing after tomorrow...specifically because one of his mates doesn't have xbox. Will wait and see with antici...............pation
