I would say they have only just noticed because the new stock of books sold out so fast so decided to check up on it, then realised they have send thousands of pounds worth of books out for free :rotfl:

No book but £5 for free then!

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your email. We have had a large amount of contacts via email and we are working hard to respond as quickly as possible.

I'm sorry to learn that your order for Gordon Ramsay's book was cancelled. I understand how disappointing this can be, especially as it was ordered on the 24th of December.

Unfortunately, we didn't have stock of the book which resulted in the order being on our system until now. We then realised the pricing error which is why all the orders that weren't dispatched have been cancelled.

I appreciate that this will be even more disappointing for you. As a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience, I have sent a £5.00 ecoupon to your email address which can be used on another order if you choose to reorder.

hmm my book hasnt been cancelled so they are lying! but i do have another book on there i ordered at same time. mine still says feb for despatch

Well i got a reply but no £5 voucher - off to email them again (my 1st reply below)

I'm very sorry to learn that you are unhappy that we've cancelled your Tesco Book order. I appreciate how disappointing it must have been when you received an email to inform you we’ve cancelled your order.

As the Gordon Ramsay book went out of stock the pricing error was not picked up straight away and I’m sorry for the delay in cancelling the order. However it was clearly a pricing error and line with our terms and conditions we do reserve the right to cancel orders if a pricing error has occurred.

Further to our previous email the book should be available again from February if wish to re-order it.
