House insurance for extended holiday

We are going to be away for 6 months next year and our present insurer won't cover us, anyone had this problem?

I have my son come round and spend 1 night every 30 days which means that the terms of my insurance are coveredSomething Really Interesting0

I told them my neice would stay at the weekends but there were so many exclusions it's not worth having the cover!!0
