  • It's been out for ages. I've had it for a while. Can't say as I notice much difference apart from poncified colours
This country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down

It's been out as beta or release candidate versions.

Not everybody likes to use those, and wait until the final release, just as with other software recently like IE7, Firefox 2.0, etc.

I'd hardly call it ages when it was only released yesterday, so far there has only been the beta/gamma versions available not the official full release. So I think it's a valid announcement for people who don't like installing beta copies of software.

    I can't believe there's still not podcast support. :(

I'm always trying to get people into podcasts and if WMP would get round to adding it podcast numbers would go through the roof!

That was exactly what I was looking for after I installed it this morning. It would make it much more convenient. I currently use itunes to download my podcasts but then I have to use wmp to listen to them because the new itunes is rubbish and can't play anything without stuttering.

I reeeeally wan't to stop recommending Itunes as the way to get podcasts. Apart from being huge - both in download size and system resources, it helps keep the myth alive that podcasts are an Apple thing and you have to have an Ipod to use them.

But I'm left with no choice right now. All the other systems have problems - I've spent the last few weeks trying them all.

I think the word is now that it's something MS plan to add eventually, but it's not one of their priorities

I've used WMP11 but still same problems as pervious versions so will stick with VLC player the all in one player.

So far it's working perfectly for me. Plays my podcasts perfectly which itunes can't. I hate having to use a separate app to subscribe and download podcasts.
