new central heating - boiler/pipe noise

Hi

we have just had our central heating installed and there is a noise coming from what i believe to the gas pipe, not 100% sure though

it does sound like it is coming from one of the pipes going to the boiler. the boiler itself is quiet (worcester) but the noise coming from the pipe area kind of sounds like when you would have dirt in a pipe and it keeps moving and hitting the pipe

it is hard to explain the noise but if you can imagine having some grit in the pipe and then moving the pipe about you would hear the noise of the grit hitting the pipe.

should i get them back to listen to it, one of the pipes coming out of the boiler can be moved quite freely. they havn't clipped that in.

Is the free one making the noise?

Can you trace the noisy one, where does it go? Or come from?

i will have to trace where it goes.

the noise is like dirt passing through pipes. the noise it would make when it hits the pipe.

why would i get this noise, searching it doesn't seem a common noise. although it is hard to explain sounds

Could be air in the system. This would sound like grit or metal bits rattling through the pipes.

it may need flushing out again. this has been known to knacker a new pump within 12 months.

If it is air, then yes it will sort itself eventually, but usually this would only last a few days after install.

Check that any auto air vents on the boiler have been left open.
