Best German Dictionary

Hi, wonder if anyone out there has any recommendations for a comprehensive, paper, German-English Dictionary ie not simply a quick guide/e- type publication. Thanks

Berliz do good ones not just a dictionary but a good phrase book as well,or collins

I think it depends what you want it for. A dictionary like this

is good and the sort of thing an A-level or university student might use.

If you want to do serious translation into English you would need to splash out on something like this

Neither suitable for dropping into your pocket!

I don't know a comprehensive dictionary, but as a great alternative to a phrasebook Collins' 10,000 German Words is great and includes lots of phrases.
