barclays frustrating!!!

i got a Vodafone contract direct debit taking from my Barclays account and there was no money to cover the first payment because the money goes in my account on different dates than this direct debit due date.so the account got closed even without a notice!!! im currently overseas in Egypt. my question is can they close the account and delete all my details ( thats the nice barclays people told me on the phone).due to no money for direct debit? or not? they have canceled it and im stuck in here and cant get any money my csa and child benfit money have already arrived whats gona happen? will they (csa) keep my money for me untill i sort the bank account or ill lose it? and can they (barclays) sort the visa card out so it can work again and i can get money out becoz money goes there each Tuesday from child benefit or do i have to travel back to uk to sort or re open the account?
