I recently won two roller blinds in an auction that no one else bid on so got them for £4-99 each. The seller usually sells these for £24-99 on a buy it now listing. Today i received two ebay alerts titled 'eBay Unpaid Item Mutual Agreement for Item xxxxx' saying
'The seller tells us you have mutually agreed not to complete the transaction (either because you returned or are returning the item for a refund, or because there was a misunderstanding) and has requested a credit for their eBay fees.
I also received an email from the seller saying 'Please ignore the two messages from ebay as they were meant for another person'
Now is he just trying to get out ebay fees because thay have sold at a loss and should i be worried? i have till the 6th of November to reply to these alerts, What if I dont reply and I don't recieve my blinds?

They are trying to pull a fast one here! if you don't respond you can't leave feedback, they have 7 or 8 days to put you off so they can close the dispute and claim their fees giving you 2 strikes and they can leave the feedback they want...... probably don't wanna sell them for so little!!
Just reply to the agreement ...there is a way saying you don't agree or something!! they should have closed it by now if they genuinely done it by mistake. Just be careful with paying! I would probably pay by paypal for the protection.

Tell him that you'll ignore them as soon as he closes the disputes.
If he leaves them open, disagree with the mutual. My TV is broken!

I have sent him an email saying that if i don't receive my blinds by the 6th I'll have to disagree with the dispute. I did pay through paypal so at least theres a record of my payment. I can see a problem that if I agree he could just refund my payment not send the goods and state that i no longer required them, in which case i've lost out on a bargain buy. I see all this because he was having to sell at a loss. Anyway I've got a few days to see if they either turn up or he cancels the dispute.0

The bonus is that if you end up disagreeing, he'll lose his fees. I wonder if a non-performing seller dispute can be filed after the one he has filed...My TV is broken!

isn't there an option in the mutual which says "I still want to proceed with the transaction"?
That's what you need to select.
It tells ebay you still want the item, and doesn't let the cheeky seller get away with cancelling your purchases or get their fees back. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
Oops I have removed this (was wondering if you had paid and you have)0

Yeah, if no cancellation from the seller, that's what I'd go with. Giving the chance for the seller to cancel the dispute means a) they know you're not stupid and b) there's a chance you'll do the above and they'll lose their fees!
Seller has painted himself into a corner. My TV is broken!

Ok, firstly my blinds arrived today. Well chuffed ! Also received an ebay message from the seller saying :-
'Hi. I have just spoken to ebay and asked them how I can close it, they said if you select the option which says you wish to go ahead with the transaction then I will be given the option to close it. I am really sorry about this.'
So it looks like he's backed down and will have to pay the fees. All in all a satisfying result ! :T0 -
Either that or it really was a genuine mistake
