Netbook Two Choices

I've been looking at netbooks for ages and I'm finally going to get one tomorrow. I've narrowed it down to two, an Acer or an HP I don't know much about computers but to me the Acer has a better specification. However, in my opinion it doesn't look as good as the HP.

Please can someone tell me which one is better.

Samsung is a fair make (we have N140's each with W7) but ideally I would go for a 2GB ram sdram upgrade (means throwing the 1GB out/freecycle etc.,) but on mine I have Ubuntu nrm too in dual boot, and for speed it is much better

I've got the HP Mini but the older one with the Atom 450 processor, the 7200rpm drive they come with make a big difference, if just surfing ext on it it'll run fine with windows and feel faster than the netbooks with an Atom 550 processor and 5400rpm hard drive.

I have a Samsung nc10plus, Intel atom processor, around 10 hours battery life, Excellent piece of kit, I had the same idea as op but after a couple of weeks sold the laptop for the price I paid for the netbook.
