This is not my own. It is from a post by isthatreduced on bobsfreestuffforum.co.uk
I want to make my own bath bombs and have found out what ingredients you need and I have found a website called Just a soap.
http://www.justasoap.co.uk/catalog/shopping_cart.php
Does anyone make their own and do they have any tips?
Here is what I intend to buy:
1 x Cosmetic Grade Glitter
1 x Epsom Salt
1 x Sodium Bicarbonate
1 x Sweet Almond Oil
1 x Heart Shaped Bath Bomb Mould - small and large
1 x Large Bath Bomb Mould
1 x Citric Acid
1 x Cosmetic Grade Glitter
1 x Cedarwood Essential Oil
£30.90
It was supposed to be a cheap idea for xmas presents for my daughters friends (because she has an increasing number of them and I just cannot afford to buy them all gifts),but you can make dozens out of the amount I intend to buy.
I do think it will be fun and something my DD and myself can do together.
What I have found out is that there are two basic ingrediants citric acid and bic soda and then it is up to your imagination somewhat.

There are millions of recipies all different and I kind of got carried away and ordered 5kg of cirtic acidThe sign of a wasted life is a tidy house, Welcome to the chaos!0 -

I've just recieved all my bathbomb making stuff from justasoap and looking forward to playing with it maybe tonight or over the weekend

I have pink and purple and rose scent and champagne (already have quite a few other essential oils that I was going to use too) and already have rose petals and dried lavender

Whilst I remember... if you intend to make any bathbombs with glitter in... DON'T! I was bought a gorgeous smlling one from LUSH last christmas which has glitter and stuff in it... as soon as it had dissolved it smelt divine but after a minute or so I nearly went through the roof as the pretty glitter stars (yes stars!) were like thousands of needles in the bath... I spent 15 minutes trying to wash them all off me but I was still finding the blasted things in y bed for days afterwards (usually by rolling over one and being stabbed somewhere sensitive... so PLEASE don't put glitter in bathbombs

The fine glitter is nice though, makes you all sparkly!
Lush do some with dried rose petals which make your bath really lovely. I might get a kit and give it a go!0 -
Well looking at my kit then it does all seem to be pretty easy
OH is still concerned that I might be about to blow up the house... DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
