    Never heard of this. This is a malware removal tool and doesn't seem to provide active protection like an antivirus. I'm sure it will do a very good job in conjunction with antivirus like AVG, spybot, adaware and hijackthis. There are numerous threads in this board on security both preventative and corrective.

    PrevX has been around for some time now and is a very good program.

    It's an IPS (intruder prevention system) as opposed to most av & anti-spy products which are IDS (intruder detection systems).

    PrevX is a good app but you have to be fairly techie to use/understand it.

    Just had to uninstall prevx as it had stopped updating. Tried to install replacement (prevx1) and now windows takes about 40 minutes to boot up. Any suggestions?
    My views are irrelevant - censorship is alive & well!

    i found that prevx1 didn't get on very well with firefox, the homepage would load up fine. After that it wouldn't do anything.
    Un-Installing it restored normal service.
    Ever stop to think and forget to start again?
