Daily Star win - stolen/lost prize

Hi everyone,
This week I received and signed for a package from the Daily Star. When I opened the package I was confused to find there was only the congratulations slip in the jiffy bag, but no prize. I imagine it has been stolen.
I've been trying really hard today to find out what I have won and what can be done about my missing prize but keep getting passed from person to person and am yet to have my calls returned.
I've looked everywhere for a list of winners but my name isn't mentioned.
The delivery was sent via Special Delivery so it is insured up to £500 I believe. It's just a shame somebody has decided to steal the contents.
Any advise welcome.

What a shame. If it has any contact details on the congrats. slip then I would get in touch with them and tell them the situation, If its insured ...then they should look into it for you. Fingers crossed you get a replacement. Keep us posted on whats happening. Best of luck.0

Well the congratulations slip comes from this company: http://www.northernandshell.co.uk/
They have several mags and I don't recall entering any of their comps but I guess I must have done.
Update: I have since spoken to them again and provided my address this time. They will get back to me tomorrow so I'm told.0 -

It looked like it could have been opened as the seal wasn't all that secure. But it wasn't wide open.0 -
They will probably send you another prize. Fingers crossed they do.0

Maybe msg a mser called Custardy he used to be a postie, he might be able to let u know the best way to deal with this, as u have signed for it the royal mail might have issues about compensating the comp organiser, he has often offered advice regarding postal issues on mse xxx

You could try sending in a SAE for the winners list?

Well I couldn't get hold of the lady I've been speaking to today. She's back in on Thursday.
Re the comments above...
I'm not aware of winning anything with the Daily Star. I think it's one of those that just turns up although their comps do state that all winners are notified by phone call or email. I wasn't contacted.
I don't think I entered a Facebook spelling bee comp.
Compensation can be claimed for empty packages however I think they would have to make the claim, not me.
I'm going to leave it until next week for now. Thanks everybody and have a fantastic Xmas!0
