Bonnet release problem

my punto has decided to play silly bu****s and i cant get the lever to release the bonnet now as i understand it its probably stretched, is there an easy way to solve this problem or is it a visit to the garage ?

Get someone to push the bonnet down near the catch as you pull the lever!0

Get a pair of pliers, pull lever, grab the cable, pull cable
If the cable or mechanism is broken/snapped, then it could get costly.

As esmerobbo says. Also get them to attempt to lift the bonnet as you pull the cable. Once open clean and lube the moving parts.0

I had my cable replaced last year and the cable was only £10 from Fiat, and a friend fitted it for me.
