  • Yeah we had one, also had one supposedly from Paypal, saying our security question had been changed on such a date and we needed to urgently log on to this link and input the authorisation data!!!!

you could report it to spoof@ebay.co.uk or spoof@paypal.co.uk
  • You can also download and install the eBay toolbar which has a built in spoof site detector. Not sure how it works exactly (the tech part) but if you happen to click on a link in a spoof email, when you visit the site, the eBay toolbar will alert you that the site is a spoof site and you can safely click away from the theiving robbing scammers site.
Here's the UK eBay site link for the toolbar
    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay_toolbar/

Ooh I forgot to mention, it does alot more than that too. Great toolbar for managing your eBay account or the items you are watching/bidding on.

i had and responded to that one:doh:

i was very lucky,i couldn't sleep (for some reason) and logged on to ebay at 3 in the morning. To my horror i was selling (in Italian ) 2 new notebooks:confused:

i cancelled one ( it had 14hrs left) and started to panic about the other. I went to the community pages and got directed to an ebay employee in the USA who stopped the auction:o

i always regarded myself as on the ball when it came to scams, just goes to show.........:D
