Make your dvd player multi-regional

Most of you will probably know you can make your dvd player multi regional using the remote control, sometimes allowing you to play vcd's and svcd's aswell. This enables you to buy dvds from abroad with earlier release dates and for a lot cheaper.

thanks for this, will come very useful when my new dvd recorder arrives, i cant remember whether it MR or not, but i know it can be.

i have also noticed recently some stores offering the same dvd player/recorder with or without multi-region coding at different prices........

Thanks for the links .amacken., I was just looking at getting a multi region dvd player in another tab when I did a search for advice at MSE - it turns out that the one ive already got is already multi-regional

I've used videohelp as its free unlike some sites and dont forget to get an all in one remote to unlock some players as some of the remotes dont have numbers
