Pixmania - Shocking!!

Warning to users that are planning to purchase anything from pixmania.
I ordered a gift on the 14th December that appeared in stock.
I paid an extra £7.88 to get the parcel here in 3-5 Days

6 days later they sent me an email to say my card payment had been rejected by the issuer, though they had successfully taken the money from my VISA account.

Seeing my basket was still full and not wanting to pay twice, I subsequently cancelled the order.

I have had one email (automated) in three days of complaining and am still no closer to getting my money back. They now say they have no record of the payment. I am currently emailing the CEO, talking to VISA and checking out European trading standards.

Can it be right that a company holds onto your money, gaining potential interest whilst you are paying potential interest on goods you have never recieved.

Be warned Pixmania need a heavy kick up the rear, I wont be using them again. Meanwhile lets see how long it takes to get my money back - Watch this space!

Tell us something we don't already know ;) Pixmania are well known for their awful levels of customer service, when you eventually get your money back just consider it a lucky escape that you didn't get the product because if it went wrong think of the hassle trying to get it sorted under French consumer laws.

I stopped using them when they offered a printer with the inks as an extra, despite the manufacturer including them, this trick gave them the edge on pricerunner etc as they gained the cost of the inks from any customer who was none the wiser

  • I agree with previous thread. DON'T TOUCH PIXMANIA WITH A BARGEPOLE.

Ordered a tec deck for Xmas. The software didn't work with the computer I had, so I phoned and asked to swap to the tec desk that would work. They refused. Point Blank.

I hadn't used the product. It was still unboxed. They simply wouldn't let me swap over to the product that worked.

Why would a company ever have a customer service policy like that. And is it even legal?

I ordered a Cyborg R.A.T 9 on the 22nd from Pixmania (£97.40 delivered, was £10 - £20 cheaper than elsewhere). They sent a email with a link to track through bpost2 (dosent exist).
Emailed them back say so & the sent the right link, however the tracking number was not recognised.

I am still awaiting a reply from them, luckily some1 was at home today when it was delivered (have no problem with the time it took to come due to 4 day weekend & the national backlog of parcels due to adverse recent weather.
After reading horror stories from other customers I wonder what would of happened if no1 had been at home.

Despite the very good price I would never use these Muppet's again & would tell ppl not to.

The only thing that's truly "shocking" about Pixmania is that even after years and years of people complaining about it on this and many another Internet forum, some folks *still* go ahead and buy from it. An online search about a supplier before making an online purchase takes a couple of minutes. The effort can save the potential purchaser a lot of grief and spare places like MSE from the 3,957th thread about "beware Pixmania".
