ccleaner free?

HI

My laptop is running slow. I've read Martin's blog and some info on here, so I thought I'd run ccleaner and possibly defraggler. When I follow the link on the blog to ccleaner, Piriform asks for payment of £19.99

I have previously used ccleaner on a different pc for free.

ATM I'm using MS Essentials and I run adaware occasionally. I have previously used Spybot on a different pc but had problems gettingit to update and then read somewhere that it wasn't so good :(

Can someone advise please:
1 Is what I'm using already OK (MSE and adaware)
2 Is ccleaner available free
3 Is there anything else I can add in that's easy for a non techie person :D

Thanks in advance
