HSBC keep phoning!

HSBC keep on phoning my mobile every single day!..Ive no idea what they want, but I really don't like the fact they want me to give them my security information before they even tell me what they want - especially as Im on my mobile I could be out anywhere. Id certainly feel a lot happier if they at least phoned my home phone....They've phoned me loads since I opened the bank account, before to make sure everything was ok with the account, then when I opened a savings account they phoned again, they sent me some paperwork which they phoned to ask if I got, they've phoned to see if I want any other services set up....To be honest Im just a bit fed up with it now.
A lot of the time I don't normally know they've rung until they have as I keep my phone on silent but its the same two 0800 numbers that keep coming up!

They never ring my mobile number because I never give it to anyone that I don't want to call it.
Just remove your mobile number from their stored numbers via online banking.0 -
I don't get your point about the public bit. They don't ask for ALL you info, only parts of it. So even if someone was listening in, they still couldn't access your account.0

If you don't like a bank ringing you tell them to stop. If they don't then there is nothing preventing you from making a formal complaint.
Oh and a good reason to give them your mobile number is if you are aboard or even visiting friends/family away from home and have your phone turned on they can check transactions with you i.e. text you and tell you to call them.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -

I would talk to them or go into a branch. If they are calling daily, I suspect there is an issue with your account that needs resolving - and its probably in your interests to do so.

Talk to someone in an HSBC branch. Optimist, you could talk to a machine if you really must.0
