Attachments on all emails

Not much of a problem this but annoying. I've just set up email on a new pc and every email that comes through shows it having an attachment in the Inbox tray even if it doesn't actually have one. It's on Outlook Express. I'm running AVG anti-virus and the windows firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

This can be caused by the email scanner in AVG Antivirus. Disable it as it isn't necessary for trapping viruses.

Go to properties in e-mail scanner
under plugins tab goto configure
then untick certify mail incoming and outgoing

do not disable it as suggested in previous post
